In this customer video, Lisanne Broer-van Abeelen, Lead Business Analyst/ Project Manager at bol.com and Thomas Thans, Senior Logistics Engineer at Ingram Micro Commerce & Fulfilment give an insight into their e-commerce operations at the bol.com fulfilment center. Ingram Micro looks after personnel as well as the daily operation and management of the site. The video is produced by Human Workspace, who provided and installed the Treston workstation solutions.
”We looked at different suppliers and ended up with Human Workspace and the Treston workplace solutions. They give us the necessary flexibility to create a highly modular workstation”, says Lisanne Broer-van Abeelen.
”The two most important goals were ergonomics and efficiency. This we have reached by using the Treston solutions.” she continues and thanks Human workspace for their flexibility and how they have designed the workspace so that it is really pleasant for the operator to work.
For Ingram Micro the modularity of the Treston solutions was key.
”Modularity is very important to us. The market changes, our product range changes. We can easily add or remove accessories from the workbench which allows us to be forward looking”, says Thomas Thans, Senior logistics engineer.
Human Workspace installed the Treston Concept and other workstations. Treston workstations are used for reception of goods, in outbound department where there are three different kind of packing tables, as mobile workbenches to perform value added services and the standing tables as troubleshoot tables. Also trolleys and other accessories help support the process.
